Self-care is something that we should all make time for, especially if we’re having a difficult day or are going through a trying time. However, it is important even on ordinary days when we go about our daily lives, and there are no significant changes to our universe.
When we neglect to take care of ourselves or believe we are too busy, it all builds up and eventually starts to show in our mental and physical well-being, as well as our creativity, vigor, and passion.
Make Time for You
Make time for self-care a priority, despite your hectic schedule or feelings that you don’t need it. Everyone needs it, even you.
You can read these books to unwind and take your mind off things.

2Past the Shallows by Favel Parrett
This book, which is set on Tasmania’s wild and rocky South Coast, doesn’t exactly put surfing front and center, but its lyrical descriptions of the sea and its power are well worth your time.
After their mother passed away, Harry, Miles, and Joe are three boys attempting to make their way through life with their resentful, alcoholic, and abalone-fishing father. While the older two guys utilize surfing as a means of escaping from their miserable lives, Harry, the youngest and most sensitive, is scared of the ocean.
It is a tale of survival, brotherly love, and the force of the ocean—which may bring both salvation and wrath in equal measure. It’s worth your time if you enjoy excellent writing and becoming emotional.
